THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER, R ( 2 hr 1 min )/VIDEO CITY: BE KIND, PLEASE REWIND, NR ( 1 hr 44 min )

 I went to see these 2 movies today, Monday, October 23rd, 2023, at the Century 14 here in  Vallejo, CA. The price of Senior Monday matinee admission is $7.50 each. The box office attendant told me that the matinee price is actually cheaper than the Senior Price.  👨🏽‍🦳 🧑🏽‍🦳 I'm all for bargain deals since I'm on a tight budget. 👌🤑👍

This exorcist movie isn't bad. But there are some things wrong with this movie. How in the world did the friend and the voodoo priestess get in his house in the 1st place? 🤷🏽‍♂️ The Devil Is In The Details❗ The photographer father is a reckless driver. ( When I received a call at work from the hospital back in late January, 1996, that my mother was dying, the doctor advised me to drive safely. ) I would imagine that he was advised in the same way, too, as he drove to the hospital. When his daughter was taken by an ambulance 🚑 to the hospital, she was already dressed in a hospital gown---WTF?!?!?!  🤦🏽‍♂️ I didn't know that ambulances carry hospital gowns!  😂  I hate to say this but those receptacles on the table inside the church look like Pork Bun Steamers! 😁 If the other girl was possessed in that church and the priest couldn't do a damn thing about it, I think that it's a sign that you need to switch churches or, better yet, denomination! What is it with demonic possession and the catholic church? 🤔 If you see someone's house with its rear door wide open and there are signs of violence inside, you call 911 ASAP instead of walk in to investigate it on your own! 😒 I don't think that you can just walk out of a mental institution with a patient and medical devices THAT easily--paper work and administrative approval would be needed as well as settle the legalities that would be involved! In other words, IT ... WOULD ... TAKE ... A ... LOT ... OF ... TIME ( DAYS ... MONTHS ) ... AND ... ATTRACT ... THE ... ATTENTION  ... OF ... THE ... MEDIA❗❗❗The priest knew that it was a case of deadly 😈demonic 😈 possession but he still recommended psychiatric evaluation!  🙄 Okay, it's the photographer's house so I guess that his daughter gets to sit in the cushy chair 💺 while the other girl is forced to sit in the uncomfortable chair 🪑. 😏 I don't care who you are, if you get head-butted like a version of Bruce Lee's "1-Inch Punch" that sends you flying clear into the far wall of the next room, You Ain't Gonna Be Walking Away From It Alive❗👎❗😵❗And Why Did They All Recite A Different Prayer Each, All At The Same Time? I don't think that reciting different prayers all at once can confuse a demon like that during an exorcism. 😄

When I saw the original Exorcist Movie way back when, and Regan did the 180° turn of her head, I was in love! 😍 True story ....  🤪 It must be why entities make house calls to me from time to time.  🤨

Now, for this Pinoy "chick flick" movie .... 

I liked this movie even with its predictable ending. It was engaging. The middle scenes all point to the same conclusion.

An uninspired film student, who happens to be the son of a famous movie director, accidentally travels back in time to May 5, 1995 from 2023--which is 28 years! This Is Literally An LDR ( Long Distance Relationship )❗ Everyday that he travels back in time, he loses an hour. In other words, he only has 12 days total to make a difference in his life and in another person's life that Fate connected him with. JEPP is from Jupiter, I'm from Mars ( the name of the street my family lived on back in the Philippines ). I hated the hand-held camera scenes; they could have at least used stabilizers. You'd think! During the presser for his mother, they stood in front of the camera, blocking the cameraman from doing his job. 🙈 They strolled by the beach without showing the shore because its shoreline back in 1995 would have been grossly polluted But No Longer So When This Movie Was Made, thanks to Du30 ( Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno can be credited also for his beautification projects )👌❗👍  In one scene, the English subtitle for Inspired is spelled "Insipired"; but, maybe, the script girl got Inspired confused with Insipid, which is actually its opposite in meaning. 😕 The Kissing scene outside of the ferry building during the rain would have freaked out the other passengers had they shown a POV reaction to it! Yup, the director missed out on that one! 🧐

This is yet another movie influenced by the "social distancing" movement, as shown in the movie theatre scene. One would think that such a reunion would have them unreservedly/unashamedly hugging 🫂 and kissing 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 each other❗🤦🏽‍♂️❗🤷🏽‍♂️❗

RE: "Social ...." The male protagonist attends a liberal arts college with an obvious emphasis on, "Liberal." As shown in his movie thesis proposal on socialism. The indoctrination is alive and well in the Philippines! Especially more so in the northern region ( the likely location of this movie ) and even in some parts of the central region. The southern region has its own identity issue ....

I don't know why the store, a dark, cobwebbed hull of its previous self, and a fallen victim to technology and the pandemic and which is essentially comatose, still manages to weakly tread water in a sea of debt.

If you're a man in search of love and marriage in another country as a "Passport Bro," avoid the cities where you'll mostly encounter WESTERNIZED women! Westernized women are worse than Western women because they emulate all of the bad stereotypes of Western women that the media floods them with!! Be like this guy in the movie who chose a girl from the province, a Probensiyana Girl!!! 👌😎👍

CAVEAT: To all of the Passport Bros out there. I'll share with you what my US History professor adviced my class: "Never Marry Poor."

It goes with what my Yogi said, "Karma is Energy. Everything has Energy."

There's a simple explanation why poor people are poor no matter how much they try to better their financial situation: They Don't Have Wealth Energy.

I'm sure you've heard of Lottery Winners who ended up more poor than before they even won all of that money. Yes, they had Poverty Energy. 💸

If you marry someone with Poverty Energy, it may just rub off on you, which cancels out an equal amount of your own Wealth Energy. 👎

Remember, "Misery Loves Company" & "Birds Of A Feather Flock Together."

Looks can be quite deceiving❗ Those with fancy cars and nice houses could just be showing off by living beyond their means to try to "keep up with the Joneses"❗

Now, look at Warren Buffett. He lives in the same house that he bought back in the '50s! And he uses coupons when he buys food at McDonald's!

And Elon Musk lives in a tiny house.

And I personally met someone last month who's a multi-millionaire that shops at the local 99-Cents Only Store where I shop, too. He has so much money that he sold his condo to his accountant's son for just ¼ of its fair market value--I guess that he did that just to piss-off his former neighbors And Lower Their Houses' Property Values! 😎

And, years ago, I met someone at the local Wal-Mart who is also a multi-millionaire. So, don't judge a book by its cover because SMART Multi-millionaires and Smart Multi-billionaires DON'T SHOW OFF THEIR MATERIAL WEALTH ❗💰❗💵❗🪙❗

Hmm 🤔 .... If I use discount coupons at fast-food restaurants, and shop at the Dollar Tree Store, the 99-Cents Only Store & at Wal-Mart, then I'm destined for Immense Financial Wealth, too! 🤑

Anyway .... 

May 5, AKA Cinco de Mayo, is also celebrated in the Philippines. Why ...? Because Pinoys & Pinays will find any excuse to have a party, festival, fiesta, whatever ....  🙂
