Today, Thursday, October 30th, 2025, I restarted my work where I was originally hired back in mid-July. Because of a new system upgrade, my work status somehow got lost⁉️🤷♂️⁉️🤦♂️⁉️ Was it "computer malfunction" or Human Error❓🤨❓ I'm inclined to believe that it's the latter❗😠❗
I'm officially employed now! The HQ HR finally sent an Employee Number, Username and Password for me. My manager said that he'll incrementally add-in 2 hours each day until all 36 hours that I am rightfully owed are accounted for. This is the Good News. 👌
Now, for the Bad News:
I noticed that the Sheetrock of the wall outside of the manager's office had been destroyed at the Baseboard.
I asked the manager about it. He said that some burglars used a crowbar to pry open the Emergency Exit Door. And proceeded to rip out the Sheetrock to cut-off the electricity to something. But they knew the security number for the door, since the crime was an inside job! Once in the office, one burglar proceeded to blowtorch the door of the Safe while the other one opened the Store Computer to try to get the numbers for the Safe. They were unsuccessful in their attempts.
The burglars are supposedly the acquaintance of the assistant manager, the one who used to work with the manager at some other location ❗ I believe that what caused the burglary has something to do with a paycheque discrepancy. 😕
While working on the sales floor, I overheard two black customers complain about the imminent closure of this retail establishment. I went to the Seafood City Grocery Store to buy some Bitter Melons, Pork Rinds and 2 cans of Sardines. I had to dig through the Bitter Melons to find 2 slightly bruised & non-moldy ones. At the checkout, I learned that the Pork Rinds was too expensive ❗🫰 I declined it.
I started to leave the store with just the 2 Bitter Melons and the 2 cans of Sardines. When I realized that the Sardines each rung up for $0.40 more than what the shelf tag listed! I went to the Customer Service desk to let the sales clerk know of the price discrepancy. Some saleslady accompanied me back to the aisle. She said that it was a sale price which had already expired 2 weeks ago❗ Don't They Do Weekly Price Changes❓🤷♂️❓
Back at the Customer Service desk, the CSR told me that she couldn't refund it back to my card, that I should find something equal in price that I could have. I said that I cannot just pick any food item because I'm a Diabetic!
I was about to walk out of the store with my purchase and leave it at that! But I went back to the Canned Foods Aisle one more time and found a canned Sardines for just $0.10 more.
The manager gave it to me without my quibbling over the $0.10 that I was about to fish out of my pocket. It Does Help To Act Like A Drama King, penny-pinching old fart, Once In A While. 👌🤑👍
The one in the middle is the free one! Each of the cans says "2 servings." Maybe, back in the Philippines where they mix it into lots of Rice like it's some kind of "casserole" to serve two people. Heck, a Pinoy family might even use one can to mix in a whole pot of steamed Rice and add a dash of Fish Sauce or Soy Sauce to it to feed the whole family with. I tried 3 other exercise stations at PLANET FITNESS, a Recumbent Bike w/ Rower & Leg Press Station and the Half-Cage Stretch Station in the Functional Training area. I did 3 other machines that I already showed you. I concentrated on Leg Workouts today. I wanted to gauge my Leg Stamina & Endurance & Strength. I did the Leg Press last before I went to the Functional Training Area to do my Leg Stretches.

The Leg Press Station showed me a humbling reality: 39 years ago, I pressed 1,153 Pounds ( 523 kg ) for 1 Rep on A Leg Sled Machine❗👍❗Today, I could only press a maximum of 205 ( 93 kg ) Pounds❗👎❗ That's just ~17% of my Record Leg Press‼️☹️‼️ Sarcopenia Is No Joke❗👴❗But I think that I did 3 things wrong: I did the Leg Press last instead of 1st; I Used A Wrong Technique ( pressing on the Foot Platform instead of pushing against the Backseat; and I was still able to do 7 Repetitions w/ a 15 second rest in between, meaning that it's not really my current 1-Rep Base Leg Strength!
I accomplished my Personal Best Record on the Leg Press in November of 1986, 7 Months after I tore the ACL & MCL of my Left Knee in a bicycling accident. I set my record at the Gold's Gym in Albany, CA ( it's not there anymore ). I leg pressed the 1,153 pounds on the Leg Sled Machine. As well, I did a Standing Calf Raise with 1,000 pounds ( 454 kg ). I accomplished both naturally, i.e. without resorting to the use of Performance Enhancing DRUGS like Steroids or Testosterone Injections--I don't use such stuff❗All that I used to set my record was a Back Brace and a pair of Knee Braces.
A famous Mr. Olympia Contender, Robbie Robinson, worked out at that gym, too. I don't know what his personal best records are because I just minded my own business.
By the way, Robbie's claimed height of 5'8" ( 173 cm ) is not true. He's my height at 5'6" ( 168 cm )! Likewise, the Mr. Olympia winner, the late Franco Columbo, who I also met, is not 5'5" ( 165 cm ) in height. He was much shorter at just 5'2" ( 157 cm )! Here's a tip, when celebrities' heights are given, they're more than likely measured while said celebrities were in high heels❗When I become a celebrity someday, I'll INSIST on having my height measured while I'm wearing a pair of 👠Stilettos👠❗👌🤪👍❗

I just bought an 8½ oz ( 241 g ) of MAC'S ® Original Pork Rinds, a loaf of Keto Bread and 6 single serving cans of flavored Tuna. The egg prices have notably come down. I'll have to compare them to the ones sold at GROCERY OUTLET BARGAIN MARKET.

Today, Saturday, November 1st, 2025, I went to the PLANET FITNESS Gym for a workout and to try other machines.
I'm not going to do the Seated Row machine and the Recumbent Bike w/ Rower machine anymore because they don't work with either of my 2 Pedometers❗👎❗
I had one of the Staff show me how to work the Treadmill. And I got an idiotic idea near the end of my 10-minute time on the Treadmill: I decided to do a short video while I was using it. As I panned to my Left Side, my Right Foot step off the edge of the Tread and I almost fell, had I not acted quickly and grabbed hold of the rail. Well, at least my Reflexes are still in tip-top shape! Not bad for an Old Fart. 👌👴👍 ( Unfortunately, I didn't use the built-in Camera. I used an App Store camera which only shares videos on YouTube, Facebook and in Messages. 🙁 )
I decided to start doing Ab Crunches so that I can rise up on the Bench from a Prone Position.
I did 3 sets of 20 reps with aresistance of 40 pounds
( 18 kg ) & with a 15
Seconds of rest in-between.
I ought to double the
weight resistance.
And I did my Shoulder Girdle Super Set.
Then, I did my stretches for my Thighs, Hamstrings and Calf Muscles in the Functional Training Area's Half Cage. Finally, I went back to the Leg Press Station and did Calf Extensions with a Weight Resistance of 100 pounds ( ~45 kg ), which is ~5/7th of my bodyweight.
I had to walk back to my car because I forgot to put a Protein Shake in my backpack! 🎒
I tried my new jerry-rigged Bath Sponge:

Today, Monday, November 3rd, 2025, I did the Leg Press after I warmed up on the treadmill.
I just did 3 Sets of 10 Reps on the Leg Press Machine with the Whole Stack = 325 Pounds ( 147 kg )❗I also followed it with 3 Sets of 10 Reps on the same machine with the same whole stack of 325 Pounds for my Calf Extension Exercise ‼️ I rested for 15 Seconds in-between sets. 😎
I'm trying the Leg Extension and the Leg Curl Machines next. 🙂
I finally tried their Leg Extension and Leg Curl Machines for the 1st Time.
On the Leg Extension, I did 3 Sets of 10 Reps with a Weight Stack of 130 Pounds ( 59 kg ).
On the Leg Curl, I tried to do 3 Sets of 10 Reps with the same Weight Stack of 130 Pounds. But I failed❗🙁❗ I dropped the weight down to 40 Pounds ( 18 kg ) for 3 Sets of 10 Reps. Then, I increased the weight to 70 Pounds ( 32 kg ) for 3 Sets of 10 Reps. Finally, after discovering that the machines have other adjustments that I failed to notice earlier, I adjusted the Weight Stack to 100.0 Pounds ( 45.4 kg ) to complete 3 Sets of 10 Reps‼️
Once I familiarize myself with all of the adjustment features, I should be able to go heavier. 🙂
Then, I finished 3 Sets of 20 Reps with a Weight Stack of 50 Pounds ( 23 kg ) on the Abdominal Crunch Machine. I need to work on my Abdominal Muscles because I have a hard time now rising up to a seated position when I'm lying prone on a bench! 🙁
Finally, I did my Shoulder Girdle Super Set before I got in the Functional Training Area's Half Cage to stretch my Legs.
Then, it was off to the shower. 🚿 But, first, I drank my Protein Shake! 💪
I completely forgot that I have another Bath Pouf. I was about to leave for work when I accidentally bumped into a box of Sundry Items that fell to the floor! It was such an inconvenience because I didn't want to be late for work. As I was picking things up, I noticed the extra Bath Pouf. I thanked God for reminding me of it! 🙏

Today, November 4th, 2025, is Ballot Vote Day. I went to the now-defunct Women's Gym to get a replacement ballot.
I didn't know that I had to re-register just to drop-off a Ballot Envelope. ✉️ I asked if I could walk across the street to drop it off at the Main Post Office. I was told that they don't allow anyone to walk out of the Hall ( it's tiny inside and looks more like a Banquet Hall for a 3 dozen or fewer people ).
I noticed that if you Backlight the Ballot Envelope ✉️ with your cellphone camera's flashlight 🔦, you--AND ANYONE--can see which box you filled in!
I folded it the opposite way to cover my choice and tried the Backlight again. I could still see my choice! I folded a Sticky Note over the corner but my choice was still visible❗ Finally, I used a Black Permanent Marker to block the corner where the 2 boxes are, and it worked‼️But the marker's ink bled through the Sticky Note because I didn't wait for it to dry. And the bleed-through smudges might disqualify my Vote! So, I'm on my way to get another Ballot and put the Sticky Note on it when no one's watching! 👍
