I watched this movie very early today, Sunday, March 24th, 2024, in bed 🛏️ via my cellphone's TUBI Streaming App.

FYI:  The AVENGING FORCE: THE SCARAB is its original title when it was released back in 2010. It predates DC's BLUE BEETLE by a decade! Plus, it is in Public Domain!! Therefore, IMHO, it has 1st Rights over the BLUE BEETLE!!! And just to "stick it" to both DC & Marvel, it was re-released again last year with the title of BLACK SCARAB ( even though this superhero character was conceptualized with a Blue Scarab on his chest ) just to let the world's Comicdom know the truth❗😎❗And I'm all for Truth❗©️❗©️❗

Scene Commentaries:

It took 00:05:20 minutes just for the Beginning Credits to end scrolling. 🙄

Agent Rose looks & sounds like a high school teenager!  😏  In the words of Pres. Trump, "I'd date her."  😄 😄 😄

Black Terror, the head honcho bad guy sent to fetch Prof. Joab, used eyeliner pencil to mask his eyes? I thought that he worked for a multi-millionaire!  😀

Is that the same shirt that Prof. Joab wore on his trip to Central America? And how did he escape the bad guys when he was in Central America? 🤷‍♂️

Why weren't there CCTVs in the university hallways?

Shouldn't he have needed a crowbar to pry-up the floorboard?  😕

Cold-bloodedly killing your own goons in front of your other goons won't inspire their continued allegiance, confidence and trust in you! 😒

And why is the Sphinx wearing that kind of Eye Mask that will just make his own Nose 👃 "sweat like a pig"?  🐷  I've worn such a mask and know what it's like to have one on!  ( And, No, I'm not a superhero! I think ....  🤔 )

Why would the Ancient Egyptians write down instructions using Germanic Runes when they had their own written system ( which is different from the hieroglyphs )?  🤦‍♂️

Agent Red sure didn't act surprised when Scarab reappeared!  🙄 I would have been scared POOPLESS ❗💩❗

That is one cheap, repurposed Batman suit! 😁 At least, it doesn't come with a stupid cape!  😆 On second thought, it NEEDS a cape ....  😬 Without a cape, he reminds me of a rooster 🐓 flaring its neck feathers. If he refuses to wear a cape, I'll start calling him Roosterman!  🤪

"Try this!" 😂

Those gunshots sure sounded so muted and so distant and ... so small calibre ....  😃

Why did Agent Red take off her gloves? She was engaging with multiple opponents and needed all of the help that she could get. I thought that she was trained in hand-to-hand combat which ... doesn't ... literally ... mean ... to ... fight ... bare ... knuckles!  🙄

The fight scenes in GATOTKACA are better than the fight scenes in this movie. Here's a tip if your fighters are not real Martial Arts masters: Just "Jason Bourne" the scenes! You know, have the actors do the moves in half-speed whenever possible and just speed them up when you edit said scenes!! Fire the new guy Fight Choreographer and the new guy Scene Editor--- And Hire Me To Do Their Jobs, instead!!! I, Cine-Man, promise to work for cheap, initially speaking 👌❗🤓❗👍

Black Terror exposed his head for any number of headshots when he had to quickly deal with the threat coming at him from the left side!  😒

When The Scarab was forced into walking the gauntlet, I'm pretty sure that some--if not most--of those bad guys were already killed-off earlier!  🤦‍♂️

The Ending Credits takes 00:09:50 minutes to scroll through and the Beginning Credits is 00:05:20 minutes long.

So, 00:05:20 + 00:09:50 = 00:15:10

And, 07:00:00: - 00:15:10 = 👉00:54:50👈

Which leaves us with less than 00:55:00 minutes of ACTUAL Movie-Watching time!  🕰️👎

Black Terror looks like The Punisher's cheap alter ego.  😒

And Double Dare looks like Two-Face and Rorschach ( WATCHMEN 2009 ) had a baby!  👶🏻

But I'm disappointed to learn that BLUE BEETLE is actually better scripted and better directed than this one! 🙁

Tidbits:

The stylized depiction of the Scarab Dung Beetle looks like the Human Skull, viewed from the top!

The concaved areas on either side

represent where the Zygomatic

Arches should be at. 

The purple dome right on top of the

Frontal Bone represents the

Nasal Bone. If this illustration was shown at

a slight rearward angle, the Maxillary

Arch would be very visible just

as it is represented in the

Scarab artifact right

above it. 🧐

The non-romanticized common name of the Scarab is the Dung Beetle. So, keep this in mind when you consider Ancient Egypt's seeming knowledge of Human Anatomy & Physiology. Otherwise, you're just full of sh!t. After all, their Medicine called for the use of DUNG!  💩

But how many flies would they have needed

to get a sizable amount of dung to use

in their medical concoctions? 

I ate lunch at Selecta Pilipino Buffet Restaurant, here in Vallejo, today. I finally got around to asking DJ ( Oops! 😬 I always called him TJ ) about his name. He told me that it's the initials of his name, Doroteo Jr. Yeah, it makes sense to me now.  🙂

A handicapped homeless man came in the restaurant and Rey, the proprietor, gave him some free food & water. He went outside to eat his free meal. About 45 minutes later, as I was writing the ending of this blog, he came in again and sat at a table and started screaming, at the top of his lungs, some nonsense about something.  😒 He was distracting me from finishing this blog as he sat less than 5 yards/meters away from me. Rey had to tell him to stop bothering and intimidating the dining patrons or to just leave. He left but kept on keeping on about whatever ....  🙄
