I had to go to the Vallejo Kaiser Permanente Hospital today for a Flu Shot and a Blood Draw. My Primary Care Physician's clinic has been pestering me about it for a few weeks now. 😃 I got my Flu Shot first. 👌
Then I walked across the street to J&R Mini Mart and Gas ⛽ to buy some lottery tickets. And ... to log in some distance on my Pedometers' tally and burn off some of that Blood Sugar before my draw. And I already drank 5 cups of water to help with the Kidney Components of the draw and to have some Urine in my Bladder ready to go when they hand me the Pee-Pee Cup! 😄
I asked to have the Blue Rubber Band Tourniquet. She gave it to me. Unlike one Phlebotomist from 2 years ago who gave me a judgmental look when I asked to be given the tourniquet--and didn't give it to me even though they don't reuse them and just throw them away ❗ She thought that I was going to use it to shoot up some Heroin❗🙄❗ Heck, the only needle marks that I have on the inside of my Elbows are the ones put there by Phlebotomists in the first place❗🤦♂️❗ 🤷♂️❗
As I walked to the lobby, the intercom system said, "Extended Stroke Alert in the emergency room, bed 21(?)." 😬 That sure doesn't sound good. Hopefully, the patient is okay. 🤞
