THE GOLDEN HOLIDAY ( 2020 )

I started to watch this "Wear Masks ๐Ÿ˜ท And Don't Mind Us Allowing ILLEGALS & JIHADISTS Into Our Country While We Tell You To Stay Indoors To Avoid Getting Sick During The PLANdemic And Be Sure To Just Mail In Your 2020 Residential Selection  Ballots In November For The Sake Of Your Health & Wellbeing" movie at predawn today, Friday, June 14th, 2024 in bed ๐Ÿ›️ via my cellphone's ๐Ÿคณ TUBI Streaming App.

Scene Commentaries:

A toothpaste for a birthday present?!?!?! Lady, you're about to auction off his house and you give him toothpaste?  ๐Ÿคฆ‍♂️ And It's Not Even Gift Wrapped!   ๐Ÿ˜’

I'm surprised that That stray dog is still alive! In the Philippines, stray dogs are like traveling speed bumps---And are considered free food once ran over by a car! Hey, I'm just saying it the way it is.  ๐Ÿ˜•

Anniversary is the same as his birthday but, somehow, he forgot about it!  ๐Ÿคท‍♂️

Manila International Airport sure sounds a heck of a lot better than ninoy aquino international airport. It's not the same airport that I was at in '82 & in '83. Back then, people would just gather around as bystanders--not necessarily there for anyone--but just there to gawk at white tourists!

There are a lot of Koreans in the Philippines. There are even Korean towns. Korean TV dramas are famous in the Philippines. So are K-Popstars. In Mindanao, I can't remember where ( Bukidnon, perhaps? ), the natives can even speak in Korean. Well, in the Philippine international airports, hosts and hostesses also have been trained to speak in Korean, Chinese and in Japanese to welcome people from those countries.

Some Koreans have made names for themselves in the Philippine entertainment industry. And some are even social media personalities. One of which is YouTube's Mr. Bulbul whose name is a double entendre. On the one hand, it means ...

A bird that can be found in Korea

And in the Philippines, it means Pubic Hair!  ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here are a couple of Mr. Bulbul's videos:

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://youtu.be/-ysOD19g1X4?si=5_hs9RGBMK409Soo

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://youtu.be/LnVKtojmsVQ?si=q_UOuY_IwMJdC_io

But they mostly go to the Philippines to study. And they, along with their Chinese and Japanese counterparts, are also there to learn the English Language. And they go back to their own countries proud of becoming fluent in English--with a Pinoy accent!  ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜

I'm among the rare few who learned to become fluent in the English Language in the Philippines sans the Pinoy accent!  ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚  Well, to be completely honest, I had to drop it once I came here to the USA because my classmates made fun of my thick accent! How did I get rid of it? I just pretended that I was a British singing American songs. Because if such songs could make the British lose their accent, it should work on my own accent, too!  And It Did❗๐Ÿ˜†❗

Admittedly, I am still a bad singer. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ  In the Philippines, you can be the best doctor, lawyer, engineer, architect, politician, whatever ... but if you can't sing, your own family won't be as proud of you--to the point of almost disowning you!  ๐Ÿฅบ

The Philippine Armed Forces are respected by South Koreans. It all goes back to the Pilipino soldiers who, badly outnumbered 40 to 1, successfully fought back against the Chinese red army at the Battle of Yultong during the Korean War 74 years ago.

There's a memorial dedicated to their bravery and sacrifice somewhere in South Korea.

-------

"It's the Philippines. Just speak Korean, no one will know!"  ๐Ÿ˜„  Not so fast there, mister.  ๐Ÿคจ

There was a newspaper ๐Ÿ“ฐ headline news in the early '70s about a Pinoy treasure hunter who found the Yamashita's Gold. This was during the time of The Philippine Martial Law. Marcos had the Golden Buddha "examined". The next thing I knew, the newspaper front page news declared that the Buddha Statue was made of brass! Yeah, right .... Brass, my Ass❗  ๐Ÿ˜’  My father and I called BULLSH!T on it AND SO DID EVERYONE ELSE ❗๐Ÿ‘Ž❗

Gang War.  ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Lucky Gambler!  ๐ŸŽฐ

Michael ... Trump.  ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Double betrayal❗๐Ÿ˜ ❗

"Yeoboseo." It's a word used as a greeting when you call someone on the phone. There's a Korean Mart or two in the Philippines by that name, owned by Basel Manadil, a Syrian-Pilipino, i.e. The Hungry Syrian Wanderer. I'm not sure but I think that one of them either closed permanently or just relocated.  ๐Ÿค”

Such a spate of really Bad Luck! I feel so sorry for Byeong-Soo.  ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

I thought that Byeong-Soo didn't speak English!  ๐Ÿคจ

There are a total of 7,641 islands in the Philippine Archipelago, according to the Pilipinos.

Communist chy-nah says that it is less
than that and getting fewer with
the passing of time!  ๐Ÿ˜

Okay, in a cockfight the winner gets the money AND the dead rooster! ๐Ÿ“ Time, Money and Training are heavily invested in roosters that are bred and raised for fighting! Why are there 2 dead roosters in that fight ring? Is it supposed to be symbolic? ๐Ÿคจ

I saw a video of a really super-fast rooster that could deliver multiple blows against its opponent in 1 second! Once a strike connected, multiple strikes followed and killed the other rooster before it even knew what just happened to it!  ๐Ÿ˜จ

That Philippine-style hot tub is becoming quite vogue now, it seems.  ๐Ÿ˜

A set-up!

Tambay, i.e. someone just loitering around is actually English in origin! It's a combination of 2 words: Stand By or standby. And shortened to Stambay then to tambay. It was adopted from the US soldiers during World War 2.

"There are no witnesses to murder cases here!" Yes, but there are plenty of gossipmongers in the Philippines with nothing else better to do. Start with them, Sherlock.  ๐Ÿง

The Tambay guys sure came in handy, after all! ๐Ÿ‘Œ

He could have gone to the airport to ask for some Laglag Bala, i.e. Bullet Drop. Corrupt airport security guards in the Philippines would drop a bullet or two in a vacationing Pinoy's luggage; and then accuse the hapless victim of smuggling contraband weapons into the country and extort him for money! If they're dropping them in luggages for free, I'm sure that he could buy them for cheap from them. Or run the risk of being exposed as the corrupt security guards that they are!  ๐Ÿค‘

"I told you they're damn scary." Taekwondo, Hapkido & Tang Soo Do ain't got nothin' compared to what these guys got❗๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ‘

Bulbul! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿคฃ

"You told them to go around that way."  ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ

There was a considerable amount of leaked fuel ⛽ that, I think, the explosion should not have been that huge.  ๐Ÿ˜•

I like how this movie ended on a positive note❗This is a good and well-acted Korean movie! ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅค

Tidbit:

I'm about to have my late lunch.

Then, I need to go to the nearby Walgreens Drugstore for refills on my Heart Medications after I post this blog.

CIRCLE OF BONES

I saw this movie tonight, Thursday, February 15th, 2024, via my computer's TUBI Streaming App, from the comfort of my living room chair. ๐Ÿช‘

This Pinoy Horror movie is written, directed
and also stars a Vincent Soberano. I
thought that he might be related
to Liza Soberano. But I was
wrong about it.

SCENE COMMENTARIES:

The site location of this movie, the island of Bohol, looks so much nicer and modernized now. Back in the '50s to the '60s, it was still mostly backwards country. And the rest of the country regarded the Boholanos as somewhat like the American Hillbillies---No, not The Beverly Hillbillies! ๐Ÿ˜€ A movie was made about a Bohol native back in the early '70s. The lawyer whom the movie producer hired to handle the production's legal matters was a close relative of mine! The movie, by the way, is BOL-ANON KO NYOR ( I'm A Boholano, Sir ), which stars Yoyoy Villame.

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://edgedavao.net/vantage-points/2021/07/13/fast-backward-filmmakers-of-davao/

I mentioned Yoyoy Villame in my blog on 1521: THE QUEST FOR LOVE AND FREEDOM. ( Friday the 13th, October, 2023. Just scroll down to where it says, ๐Ÿ‘‰And here's a popular, brief lesson .... ) ๐Ÿค“

Unfortunately, my siblings and I were already getting ready to immigrate to the USA before I even got a chance to see this "Boholano" movie. If it even made it to the Big Screen!  ๐Ÿ˜•

-------

Why didn't the FBI retrieve their own female agent for debriefing, evaluation and psychiatric care?

When they entered the Devil's Lair, the first thing that they saw was a candlelit altar that had a stupid-looking fake human skull ๐Ÿ’€ on it! With all of the surplus skulls that they had laying around from their victims, you'd think that the cultists would have enough sense to put a real skull ๐Ÿ’€ on the altar!  ๐Ÿ™„

I didn't know, before watching this movie, that there is a Tagalog version of The Lord's Prayer! But, don't they have a Bisayan version of it, too? After all, missionaries hand-out Bibles in Tagalog and in Bisaya ( and in other Pilipino languages ) all over the Philippines. ๐Ÿง

Yawa is the Bisayan word for Devil. It's not to be confused with Yahweh--Heaven forbid! ๐Ÿคจ

From Sex Tourism to Sacrifice Tourism. Yeah, that should liven things up with the tourism slogan, "There's More Fun In The Philippines!"  ๐Ÿคช

We know that Sex Tourism is evil. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ But this movie takes it to a whole new level of evil, evil Sacrifice Tourism Cult Evil! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

If she really wanted to hide her daughter, there are 7,641 islands in the Philippine Archipelago, or 7,637 islands, to hide her daughter in, depending on whether or not you ask a native Pilipino or a chinese foreigner! ๐Ÿ˜’  Or she could just hitch a ride on one of those islamist supply boats illegally coming to and going back to Malaysia or Borneo for weapons and bombs. She could easily pass for a "milf" ๐Ÿ˜‰ and go for a ride with members of the MILF ( Moro Islamic Liberation Front )!  ๐Ÿ˜œ

Instead of just standing there pointing her gun at the demon-possessed man, why didn't she just go ahead and squeezed off a few rounds when she had the chance?  ๐Ÿคท‍♂️

FBI agent Karen seemed to carry 17-round clips. I'd carry extended 32-round clips, myself! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Why didn't the Daylight ☀️ affect the demon-possessed one? Is it part of the new power that it possessed? The reason could be that it might have a Congestive Heart Failure disease if it had to walk 2 hours a day!  A trade-off because nothing's ever free, Even In The Afterlife❗  ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜

So, nobody reported a missing police vehicle which probably had a GPS tracker on it?!?!?! ๐Ÿคท‍♂️  And not to mention the missing police officers who rode in it! ๐Ÿคฆ‍♂️ Yeah, right ....  ๐Ÿ˜’

FYI:

There's something cute but scary that you'll likely encounter at night in Bohol--you've been warned:
