I started to watch this pre-PLANdemic movie at predawn today, Monday, July 29th, 2024, in bed 🛏️ via my cellphone's 🤳 TUBI Streaming App.

It has been a year since Karate Girl worked at the multiplex cinema. She needed a change in scenery and a new fresh start. And nothing is fresher than RAW Sushi❗

Since this movie is made in 2012, I cannot help but wonder if this movie is parodying the hit 2011 documentary movie, JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI.  🤔  If it's at all possible, I might just go to Jiro's restaurant in Tokyo someday and try his Sushis. 🍣

You would have to have seen JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI to truly appreciate this off-beat dark comedy that irreverently dismantles the art of sushi making! I can just imagine Jiro's reaction to this send-up to his documentary movie.  😏

This movie would pair well with the JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI or ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES as a Double Feature, depending on your mood!  🍿👌🙂 👍🥤
