CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES 2/THE CROODS: A NEW AGE

-

-

I went to the CENTURY NORTHGATE 15, in San Rafael, today, again. Since it is the closest open cinema to my place which shows the 2 above shown movies.

Before I bought my ticket for the 1st show, I stopped at the nearby Sbarro's Italian Restaurant counter to buy a 16.9 oz ( 500 ml ) bottle of Nestlรฉ Pure Life Water for $2.93.

********************

I saw the 1:10 p.m. showing of the movie, THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES 2, in auditorium 13, seat E-9. The price of admission was $9.75.

I never saw part 1. I never even knew that there was a part 1 & a part 2❗๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️ I can tell you one thing, though. I hated the bad elf! Also, this movie & the one I saw on Saturday, SANTA CLAUSE, don't have Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer; this one featured Dasher & Saturday's one featured Comet ❗

**"*****************

I saw the 3:15 p.m. showing of the movie, THE CROODS: A NEW AGE, in auditorium 11, seat D-9. The price of admission was $9.75.

I liked this movie ❗๐Ÿ‘ It actually has some really funny scenes ❗ But I couldn't help but wonder whom the Bettermans' daughter ends up partnering with---Thunk, perhaps ....๐Ÿค”    'Sorry for the spoiler.   ๐Ÿ˜•

********************

And just to avoid the bumper-to-bumper rush-hour home commute traffic on Highway 37 East, I decided to see the Jackie Chan movie, VANGUARD, once again. I will be seeing the 6:35 p.m. showing in auditorium 12, seat G-9. The price of admission for this evening show was $13.00.

********************

I reached the CENTURY NORTHGATE 15 without a hitch because I ignored my GPS's directions ❗

And I traveled home, ALSO, without a hitch because I completely turned my GPS Off❗

I guess that I really am more of a "visual" type of navigator than I am an "audio" type of navigator ❗

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone ❗๐Ÿฆƒ ๐Ÿฆƒ ๐Ÿฆƒ

Word of Advice: If you find tomorrow's temperature ๐ŸŒก️ reading at 360° for a few hours, you just might be a ๐Ÿฆƒ baking in the oven❗

VERMEER/VANGUARD/SANTA CLAUSE

-

-

-

Because of the pandemic lockdown, I had to drive all the way here to San Rafael to see movies since the cinemas closer to my place were all closed❗๐Ÿ˜ก ๐Ÿ‘Ž

-

The 1st movie, THE LAST VERMEER, is about a Dutch painter who was accused of being a Nazi collaborator after World War II. Not finding fame as a painter due to negative criticism from the local art critics, he went on to become the world's most successful art forger! It's based on a true story. I really liked this movie.  ๐Ÿ‘

The price of admission for this movie was $14.00. And I bought a $2.93 bottle of Nestlรฉ Pure Life Water ( 16.9 oz/500 ml ) @ the Sbarro Italian Restaurant across the hallway because both of the cinema's concessions counters were closed due to the BS "pandemic"❗๐Ÿ‘Ž

I went to see the 3:45 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 3, seat E-9. I missed about 10 minutes of its opening scenes because I followed the GPS instructions and turned right instead of turned left at the Northgate intersection, which is what I'd usually do.  ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

********************

I wondered when Jackie Chan was going to have another Action Movie.  ๐Ÿค”  Well, I didn't have to wonder for long because here it is: VANGUARD. A secret agent type of movie. It's a good Action Movie. Although some scenes were over the top. And I couldn't help but wonder why the Gatling Gun didn't mow down the bad guys.  ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

The price of admission for this movie was also $14.00. And I went to see the 6:35 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 12, seat C-9. For this particular movie, I snuck in 2 snacks: GONE ROUGE HIGH PROTEIN CHIPS, Buffalo Style Chicken & MOON CHEESE, Cheddar Believe It. Both are high Protein & just 1 gram of Carbohydrates each❗๐Ÿ‘Œ

*******************

Well, since I traveled this far to see movies, I figured that I'd add one last one to my list: THE SANTA CLAUSE. It's a Tim Allen movie from way back in 1994. And I don't think that I saw it when it first came out. And for the admission price of just $3.00, how could I resist?!?!?!   ๐Ÿค‘ I went to see the 9:25 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 15, seat E-6. And I had the whole auditorium all to myself.  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

You know what, though? All he had to do to prove that he was actually Santa Claus is to shave his beard in front of witnesses and watch their reaction when it almost instantly grows back again. Then, again, it wouldn't amount to much of a movie. And doesn't the kid know that the only way that he could take over the "family business" is if/when something bad were to happen to his dad ...?   ๐Ÿ˜’

*******************

I wanted to see this Jackie Chan movie yesterday, Friday, the 20th. But, I was suffering from severe constipation ๐Ÿ˜ฃ since getting out of bed because I drank very little water the night before. And I wasn't daring enough to drive 18 miles ( 29 kilometers ) to the nearest open cinema showing this particular movie in the condition that I was in ❗

I drank plenty of water yesterday and even had 2 servings of soluble fiber to help with my constipation. But I didn't want to go to the drugstore to buy some enema or laxative for fear of having an "accident" along the way.   ☹️

This morning, at exactly 7:00 a.m., I was finally relieved of my constipation ❗๐Ÿ˜ฐ  I had some breakfast. And I went back to bed ๐Ÿ›Œ to get some much needed ๐Ÿ˜ด sleep ๐Ÿ’ค since my constipation gave me a false sense of urgency All ... Night ...  Long.

I probably went to the toilet almost 2 dozen times unsuccessfully.   ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️   As if that wasn't enough, I used lots of homemade Spiced Vinegar with Red Hot Chili Peppers & Habaรฑero Peppers on the Pork Rinds that I ate on Thursday evening, if you know what I mean.   ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

And the foul "beast" put up a good fight, clogging up my toilet so bad that I had to use a plunger and 3 buckets of water to send it down into the abyss ❗๐Ÿ‘ฟ

BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC/AVA

-

-

I went to see the 4:20 p.m. showing of this 1 hr. & 33 min. movie in auditorium 12, seat D-6. The price of admission was $6.50 ( all-day Bargain Tuesday ). And I bought a 1 quart/liter bottle of Dasani Water for $5.00 at the concessions counter.

I liked this movie. Especially the prison yard scene. Stay for a Bonus Scene after the Ending Credits. I was the only one in this auditorium ❗๐Ÿ‘

-

-
I went to see the 7:30 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 11, seat E-6. The price of admission was $6.50. There were about 6 people in the auditorium with me for this movie.

This is a movie about a female assassin who has a habit of asking her victims what they did so bad as to have a contract put on their heads. It's got some good Action Scenes but there are a lot of "talk" scenes, unfortunately.

*************************

This cineplex, the Maya Pittsburg 16 & MPX in Pittsburg, CA, is showing 6 new movies:

THE WAR WITH GRANDPA

YELLOW ROSE

WOLF OF SNOW HOLLOW

SHORTCUT

and the 2 that I went to see today.

Based on their weekend movie schedules, I planned on seeing 2 additional movies today: WOLF OF SNOW HOLLOW & SHORTCUT. What I didn't know is that because of the pandemic, they are just doing a "soft opening" and only schedule half the showings on weekdays ❗

I traveled 60 miles ( 96.6 kilometers ) round-trip for just 2 movies ❗ ☹️

*************************

The last cineplex that I posted on, the Edwards Fairfield 16 & I-Max, owned by Regal, closed because they weren't getting enough moviegoers since they only had 2 new movies to show, the rest being old movies. And they were only open for about a week ❗๐Ÿ˜ฎ   Regal closed a total of 500(?) of its cinemas.  Since Regal is in partnership with UA Cinemas, I don't see how they couldn't get a hold of more new releases. After all, Maya has 6 new movies playing this week❗

THE PERSONAL HISTORY OF DAVID COPPERFIELD, PG ( 2 hr & 0 min )

-

-

-

Today, Tuesday, September 29th, 2020, I went to Edwards Fairfield Cinemas 16 & I-Max, in Fairfield, CA, to see the 4:20 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 1, seat F-6. The price of admission was $5.45 for this Bargain Tuesday. And I bought a 32 oz./1 liter cup of Pepsi Max No Sugar at the concessions counter for $5.99 + tax.

This movie tells of David Copperfield's roller-coaster life of rags to riches to rags to riches. And it was quite entertaining, actually.

I love the simple & quaint boat house. And the butler/bad guy looks like Jim Carey in the DUMB & DUMBER movie!  ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

**********************

This particular multi-plex cinema re-opened last Friday, the 25th.

All of this time on lockdown and They Still Haven't Replaced The Old & Worn Seats. This is the only multi-plex cinema in the area with seats that still need to be replaced ❗๐Ÿ˜ค

This is the first movie that I've seen in years in which I didn't have to close my right eye to avoid seeing double! I have planned on getting an appointment with an Opthalmologist at Kaiser Permanente Hospital next month for surgery to correct my double vision. But my eyes are fine now! In fact, on my way home tonight, I could easily read the rear license plates of cars as they passed me by on either side of my lane on the freeway. This is something that I couldn't do in many years because of my double vision ❗

So, what changed ❓

I went on a Water Fast for 5 days since Sunday, September 13th. Then, I went on a 5 Types Collagen Broth ( 90 calories ) for one day. The next day, I added a few more calories: Collagen Broth ( 90 calories ) for Breakfast, Collagen Broth ( 85 calories ) for Lunch, and an early Dinner of 2 Hard-boiled Eggs ( 140 calories ). Starting with Sunday, the 20th, I started a Keto Diet with the same Collagen Breakfast & Lunch + 2 Scrambled Eggs and thick slices of Cheeses for Dinner. And, today, I'm on a 24-hour Water Fast. Eventually, I will alternate among Fasting, Keto Dieting and Intermittent Fasting. Most importantly, I Don't Feel Hungry At All. I will wait a while before I add a controlled amount of high fiber Carbohydrates to my diet.  ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘

-

See the loose skin on my belly right above my belly button. My pants ๐Ÿ‘– are so loose now and my belt goes around to the center of my back that I don't even bother to unbutton and unzip my pants just to put it on or take it off ❗๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ

-

This is my first time using a balloon weight on my keychain. I want a different keychain for each of my 2 sets of car keys so that I can easily choose which keys to go with each car whenever I am in a hurry to get going.

BREAK THE SILENCE: THE MOVIE, NR ( 1 hr & 31 min )

-

-

I went to see the 1:05 p.m. showing of this movie in auditorium 1, seat B-6. Today's the Re-opening of this Vallejo, CA, cinema.

It's about a Korean K-Pop boy band which has achieved world-wide fame. This documentary film follows them on their international tour and gives us a glimpse into each members' personal thoughts.

I never heard of them before. But, then again, I'm not much into music these days. Since I only have time to listen to meditation music nowadays. Except when I'm driving on the road which is when I listen to soft rock.

But, it's a good movie with No Foul Language & they're dressed well for their public appearances. Unlike their western counterparts who dress like bums. I didn't see any tattoos on them. And they don't seem to smoke. But they drink beer (?), which makes me question just exactly how old they are because they look quite young! All in all, they seem like positive role models for their adoring fans.

************************

The price of admission is $15.00❗๐Ÿ˜ฒ  Because it is a special event presentation.   ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

Another fun trivia for you: The Century theatre chain started here in Vallejo in 1941. It was founded by the son of Lebanese immigrants, a Mr. Raymond Syufy. His sons entered into a partnership(?) with the Cinemark theatre chain based in Plano, Texas in 2006. That's why these theatres go by 3 different names: Century Theatres, Cinemark Theatres and Century-Cinemark Theatres. But Syufy Enterprises retained ownership of Westwind Drive-In Theatres. And chances are that drive-in theatres will be coming back. Now you know ❗

What I don't understand is why didn't this Vallejo theatre open first since it is the 1st one in the chain❓๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

There are now 8 cinemas open within 60 miles of where I live. But the Century 14 Vallejo is the only one that has shows 'til 10:00 p.m., 10:05 p.m., 10:10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. The others close early.

Today, Friday, marks my first day back to work after my disability leave. I was not quite up to speed yet since things were moved around in my department and needed me to familiarize myself with the new set-up. And I was feeling a little weak since I have been on a no-food fast since the Sunday prior. I was just on water and unsweetened tea flavored with a ⅛ wedge of lemon. But, today, before I went to work, I drank a collagen broth ( 90 calories ). And I had another collagen broth ( 85 calories ) for lunch. Before I went to see this movie, I ate 2 hard-boiled eggs ( 120 calories ). Tonight, before I go to bed ๐Ÿ›Œ, I will eat a thick slice of cheese ๐Ÿง€---I don't know how many calories it will be, yet. I needed the calories to get me through the workday.

There's a new ( to me ) kind of cheese: A New Zealand cheese, Vintage Cheddar Cheese. I love the taste! It's crumbly so it's perfect as a grated cheese topping on pasta ๐Ÿ! This is what I will be eating for dinner tonight.  ๐Ÿ˜‹ No, not pasta. Just cheese.

I will re-introduce Carbohydrates back into my diet next Tuesday evening.

I did my first 5-day fast in 1979. And I followed it with another 5-day fast in 1982. Both times, I felt really weak towards the end and I had to cheat a little and ate a little bit of food in the last 2 days of each fast. Not only that, But I Had The Worst Nightmares During Each One: I dreamt that I couldn't fast anymore and gorged myself on lots and lots of food! The strange thing is that this 3rd time around, I didn't have such a nightmare at all ....   ๐Ÿ˜•

TRAIN TO BUSAN: PENINSULA/INFIDEL

-

I went to the Century NORTHGATE CINEMA 15 in San Rafael, CA, yesterday, September 22nd, 2020, to watch the 4:20 p.m. showing of, TRAIN TO BUSAN: PENINSULA, in auditorium 1 seat E-8; and the 7:20 p.m. showing of, INFIDEL, in auditorium 2, seat H-8.

The Peninsula movie is a sequel (?) to the Busan movie. It's a good Zombie movie. Zombie movie fans should have this on their watch-list.

The Infidel movie, starring Jim Caviezel, is about an American Christian imprisoned in Iran on drummed-up charges for contradicting a moslem talk show host. I like how it gives one a glimpse of the underground Christian movement in Iran. And it's humbling to see how we, Christians living in relative peace and comfort, don't know what it is like to live in a country where Christians are Hunted & Persecuted Simply For Their Faith!

Here's an interesting trivia that I came across a few days ago: In THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, Jim Caviezel spent most of the film's shooting in the crucifixion scene. Because of it, after the film wrapped production, Jim had to have two ( yes, 2 ) open heart surgeries!   ๐Ÿ˜จ

Korean cars are featured in these movies. The 1st movie is obvious. The 2nd one, not so much. ๐Ÿ˜•

************************

On my way to the cinema, just before I passed by the Skaggs Island exit on Highway 37 West, there was an overturned mobile home trailer at the shoulder.

And at the intersection right after the Sonoma/Infinion Raceway, there was an overturned tractor-trailer headed in the opposite direction. Emergency 1st responders were on the scene. And traffic was backed-up.

I have not been to this cinema in about 18 years ❗ I frequented this cinema back when I used to work in San Rafael in 2000. They have done a bit of remodeling here. And I remember how the box office used to be in the middle of the hallway.

The Northgate Shopping Mall was relatively empty. There's an Sbarro restaurant open for pick-up & take-out nearby. But there were hardly any customers.

I went to the wrong theatre wing before the 2nd show, thinking that auditorium 2 was there, because the concessions counter was closed in the other wing!

And I got somehow lost on my way back home because I decided to take a back road way to my former workplace. My cellphone's map directions didn't help me to find it in the dark. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️ So, I just gave up and headed on straight for home.

What A Difference 18 Years Of Absence Make❗❗❗

I'm gonna have to frequent this mall/cinema once the nCOVID-19 restrictions are lifted just to re-familiarize with the area.

P.S. There are now 5 cinemas open within 50 miles of where I live. One of them is a drive-in. I think that the nCOVID-19 ELECTION YEAR "pandemic" will bring back the drive-in theatres.   ☺️

1st Day of Theatre Re-opening

Well, today, Friday, September 4th, 2020, was the first day of Century Napa Valley 12's Re-opening. It's the only theatre that's open within, at least, a 70-mile radius of where I live! They're only showing three new movies this week: TENET, THE NEW MUTANTS, & UNHINGED. Plus, they have a Private Party showing of the first INDIANA JONES movie.

I went to see the 1:00 p.m. showing of TENET, in auditorium 9, seat C-7; the 4:25 p.m. showing of THE NEW MUTANTS in auditorium 5, seat D-11; and the 7:15 p.m. showing of UNHINGED in auditorium 7, seat B-3.

TENET is a confusing and complicated movie that goes back-&-forth in time, and has scenes where forward time occurs concurrently with reverse time! It's about Uranium 241 and the manipulation of time and a dying man's wish to end the world with him.

THE NEW MUTANTS' first half is mostly uneventful. The last half is where it gets going.

UNHINGED is about a man who loses his mind because he lost his job, lost his cheating wife, and has an encounter with an unapologetic woman which causes him to have a road rage like no one had ever had before!

---------------------------------------

The 1st movie had only me and a couple in the auditorium. The 2nd movie had a few more people in the auditorium. The last movie had more people in the auditorium.

They take cash at the box office. But, at the concessions counter, they only accept cards. I had to buy a gift card to purchase concessions items. The good news is that the concessions prices are discounted. But I couldn't use my refill Popcorn Tub and my refill Soda Cup because of the nCOVID-19 Virus!

I've been out of work for a month now because of an acute bacterial infection of my exercise injury. I had to drive myself to the emergency wing of Vallejo, CA's, Kaiser Permanente Hospital on August 6th, but I suffered since the last week of July. The Emergency Room Doctor didn't operate on me but told me to wait for a call from my Primary Care Physician, which I got a week later. Then, my Primary Care Physician told me to wait for a Urologist to call me.  I got the call a week after that. All of those weeks that I was in pain, I barely ate because standing up and even sitting down caused me such intense pain. I ate very little before I had to go back to bed because lying down and keeping the affected area warm was the only thing that kept most of the pain away. Prescription strength Ibuprofen 800 mg. only worked for a few days and then I was left with no other form of pain relief other than staying in bed.

Hours before I got the call from the Urologist, the inflamed area burst painfully and woke me up.  ๐Ÿ˜–  I didn't even know that I was bleeding until I went to the toilet to empty my bladder. The Urologist told me to come right away so that she could perform surgery on me. She used a big, fat needle to anesthetize the area.  ๐Ÿ˜ฒ  Then, she used a scalpel to cut into the right side of my Scrotum to drain the area of blood and puss! Finally, she stuffed the area with a Surgical Packing Strip.

And the Urologist told me that I would have to replace the Surgical Packing Strip twice a day. I made sure that I had taken Prescription Strength Ibuprofen at least 2 hours before I had to change the Surgical Packing Strip or the pain would just make my right hand tremble and make it hard for me to apply the packing strip with a pair of tweezers!

All in all, 2 emergency room nurses, an emergency room doctor, an Ultrasound Tech, and a Urologist "fondled" ( examined ) my genitals. That's 5 female strangers getting their way with me. When I received the hospital bill, I was shocked to see what I owed them: $1,000.05! That worked out to $200.01 for each of the times a female stranger "fondled" my privates. A massage parlor would have charged me less---Of course, it wouldn't do much to relieve me of my pain but "relieve" me in some other way.  ๐Ÿ˜

Anyway, I could only wear an Athletic Supporter as recommended by the doctors. I would line my supporter with a paper towel folded 3 times. But the surgical site would drain and soak through the folded paper towel and stain my supporter with a blood-tinged fluid. Then, I decided to line the paper towel with plastic to keep my supporter from getting stained.

Then, it finally hit me: Feminine Sanitary Napkin ❗๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ™ƒ  I now line my Athletic Supporter with a Maxi Pad; and it works ❗๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ I'm probably the only man in the world that you know of who uses feminine sanitary napkins! I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner ❗๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝ‍♂️ ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️

FREE MOVIES TO WATCH DURING THE nCOVID-19 QUARANTINE

HOW TO WATCH FREE YOUTUBE MOVIES DURING THE nCOVID-19 QUARANTINE:

(  This instruction is for Android phones. iPhones and laptops may have slightly different procedures. )

1st: Locate the YouTube icon on your phone

2nd: Click on the icon to take you to the YouTube homepage

3rd: Scroll up to choose a general selection. In this example, I chose Martial Arts Movies.

-

4th: Or, better yet, at the bottom of the homepage is the "Explore" icon. Click on that ( the green arrow ) to show you 8 selection boxes at the top. Click on the box that says, "Movies & Shows ( the red arrow )."

5th: Scroll up or down until you come upon "Free to watch." Then, select "VIEW ALL."

Scroll down the "Free to watch" selection until you find a genre of your own preference.

-

There are many old, recent and straight-to-video movies, both domestic and foreign across all genres, for you to choose from! The selections change, too, periodically. I found that out last year when I was on a 9 & ½ months of disability because of my bad back.

Enjoy the free movies--you can always skip the ads--during your quarantine!   ๐Ÿ‘ ๐ŸŽฌ ๐ŸŽž️ ๐ŸŽญ ๐ŸŽฅ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

BECAUSE OF THE nCOVID-19 PANDEMIC

This is what movie goers expected and wanted to go see:

-

This is what movie goers got, instead:

-

-

Maybe, it's KARMA's way of letting Disney know that it was not pleased about the "9 Dash Line" map which was shown in last year's Disney movie, ABOMINABLE.   ๐Ÿ˜•

Stay indoors. Stay safe. This pandemic will pass, sooner or later.

I wonder if the "nevertrumpers" are going to accept and cash-in their stimulus cheques ....   ๐Ÿค”  They can always sign their cheques over to me if they don't want them❗๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿค‘

AGENDA MOVIES OF 2019

Hollywood should really leave politics out of it. Since it ruins the movie-watching experience for me! I don't go see as many movies as I used to--much less, blog about them--because of it. When is Hollywood ever going to learn ...?   ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ‍♂️
-

Here are 2019 movies that I saw which have anti-American, anti-White, anti-Christian/Jew, anti-Police, pro-Evil, pro-china, pro-98 percenters, pro-illegals, and/or pro-globalists agendas:

ZOMBIE: DOUBLE TAP

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE

MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

BLACK AND BLUE

21 BRIDGES

ABOMINABLE

PARASITE

SPIDERMAN: FAR FROM HOME

KNIVES OUT
