THE GUARD, R ( 1 hr & 35 min )

Quickie Review:  An unorthodox Irish police officer reluctantly teams-up with a formal FBI agent who's on the trail of some international drug traffickers.

It had some funny moments that the  audience and I liked.  Unfortunately for me, I don't have a "good ear" for the Irish accent, humor and slang.

Here are the things that I didn't like about this movie:  What's a little boy doing riding around in a pink girl's bicycle?  And that little boy seemed to always be around no matter what time of day or night!  Doesn't that boy have a place to call home?  A cop should know better than to have the occupants of a car that he just pulled over  step outside the vehicle and flank him.  Shouldn't these cops be wearing clip-on ties, instead?  If you have a fresh scab on your lip, the one thing that you don't want to do is smile--it will just tear at the scab and make it bleed!  In the shoot-out, the bad guy held his pistols far apart, wider than the width of his intended  target--no wonder he couldn't kill the cop!  What an idiot ....
